The Planning and Aid Division (PAD) of the Department of Finance is pleased to release two key reports for the 2025-26 financial year:
NSDS Annual Report FY 2025-26
The NSDS Annual Report is now in its fifth year of publication, marking the halfway point to Nauru’s NSDS 2030 goals. The report tracks progress against the 133 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the 24 NSDS goals spanning the Economic, Social and Community, Infrastructure, and Cross-Cutting sectors. The report was approved by the Cabinet of the Republic of Nauru and provides an honest snapshot of Nauru’s progress, highlighting where further support is required to meet 2030 targets.

SDG Progress Summary FY 2025-26
The SDG Progress Summary provides an update on Nauru’s progress towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for the 2025-26 financial year, measured through the NSDS KPIs. The report shows that SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) is the best performing goal at 100% of KPI targets met, while SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) remains the most challenging at 20%.

Government departments are encouraged to use the NSDS Annual Report’s recommendations to guide planning and budgeting activities. Donors are encouraged to use both reports when planning their programs with Nauru, to ensure support is directed to the areas of greatest need and strategic importance.
